Really Boring Movies

In honor of the Oscars, I will let you all know my opinion about movies. I have seen many movies in my life. What I don't understand is how people can like the movies that I have seen that absolutely STINK!

A Really Good Obsession

If you are going to have an obsession, make it a good one! What makes a good obsession? It should be legal and not harmful to your body. A good obsession should also be mentally challenging. That means smoking marijuana would not be a good obsession and fixing old clocks would be.

Parents of College Age People

I am a graduate student at a state University, so I see all sorts of people. Every day I work with students, instructors, and professors. There is one group of people, parents of prospective students, that only show up a few times during the year and mostly during the summer with their progeny . I see these people in huge herds and there is no mistaking who they are. The parents are older folks holding packets of papers and the progeny are the young people looking completely bored and staring off into space. It is an odd group of people and they seem rather misguided.

I Am Not Your Therapist!

In daily life, people are always around me. I don't live as a hermit, tucked away in a cave on a mountainside at the end of a dirt road. I can't get away from annoying people; everywhere I turn, there are people. It wouldn't be so bad to be surrounded by people if they would leave me alone, but I guess I am just too friendly looking. Or something!

So Do Your Part!

When I think about my life here in New Hampshire, I am pretty happy. I go to school, get paid to canoe on lakes, and play with my kitties. For me life is good. Life around me isn't perfect. The University of New Hampshire is the center of the universe for "Stupid White Kids Rioting for No Reason Whatsoever". Our apartment complex is full of loud, obnoxious people swearing into their cell phones. This weekend hate groups will be coming to Durham, NH, to protest a bishop being consecrated in someone else's church because they don't like his personal lifestyle.
