"Would Anyone Care For Fruit, or...Dessert?"

Well well well. Here we are, face to face...a couple of silver spoons. It's been almost a year since the Fat Man has been heard from. What was behind my demise from the online airwaves? And what has led to my grand return to the interweb? I figured that my first post at my new home on Living Indefinitely would be a large info-dump for my friends both new and old so we can get all that out of the way and move on to bigger and better things.

Fat Man After Dark began as an internet radio program in 2006. I bounced around until finally finding a home on a station that was attached to a institution of higher education. I thought this was a perfect set-up and for several months things were hunky dory. However the situation got beyond intolerable. I was bringing in money for the station through sponsorships yet they did not upgrade their ancient equipment. I am talking about stuff that might have been used in the Great War. Whenever we tried to do a phone interview with guests, I wasn't sure if they would end up talking to me or General Pershing. When we had guests in the studio it became a logistical debacle. Finally I had enough and decided that I would need to find another place from which to entertain the world from.

Unfortunately internet radio stations have taken a massive hit in the past year due to the recording industry wanting them to pay the musicians to play their music. I am not going to comment on this situation because I understand all sides in this situation. I took a long break from even trying to do something until I began doing some writing for Living Indefinitely in their pro wrestling section. That writing was the boost I needed and after coming to terms with the fine staff and management here, Fat Man After Dark has come to LivingIndefinitely.com and I hope to be here to stay.

So what will you expect? Our sponsors are back, our contests are back, and the Fat Man and his cohorts are back. Nothing is off the board. We are going to talk movies, music, sports, gambling, food, and everything and anything in between. Black Man After Dark and his popular segment Pie Down is in the house along with many other members of the FMAD team like KJ in the U Street Corridor and BA formerly of Kalorama and currently at the National Riverfront.

Got an idea for something you want to see? Send me an email. It's the same old Fat Man with a brand new home.

He is the Fat Man, He is the Fat Man After Dark.

I am...and I'm back.

Some questions.

1) So is this now a blog only, or will I be able to listen to you late at night with nothing on but wax dripping from my candles?

2) I guess #1 was my only question.
