The Bronco and the Sheik

Bronco Lubich was your referee. This article says he was a heel for most of his career, but as someone who knew him as WCCW's slow, elderly referee (in contrast to the fast, young ref, David "I was Ken Burns before Ken Burns" Manning), I can't picture it. Nonetheless, sadness.

In pondering the loss of the great Lubich, my eyes caught hold of this tidbit, and then immediately bugged out:

Iron Sheik is booked for Raw tomorrow night. Believe it or not, Sheik is booked at a whiffle ball game in Albany, NY tonight and they are sending a limo to get him to MSG for Raw.

I'm aware that wiffle ball is one of the new trendy sports these days, but who thinks "wiffle ball" and then thinks "Iron Sheik"?!? Is this because we compared the Sheik to Barry Bonds a while back?
